Unnamed Update

So I've been on a bit of a go-slow with my application the past week or so, some of the most frustrating aspects of the program had to be coded, but I'm pleased to say I have managed to work it out and am currently hard at work on the front end of the Budget view; which is also going to take a while. I'm considering making my first release available for the start of next year, but I'll probably code a decent enough version for this year (if I keep my energy up!) Here are some more pictures of the application in action to help visualise how its looking! :)

Note: This is a large high quality image!

Further Development

I'm close to finishing the design of my UniBudget app, its gonna take a while I think, and i'm not a particularly great programmer. So it could take a while to work out how to do everything I need the app to do (data storage for a start). Here are some pictures of the app so far to give a bit of an idea how it will look:

Edit: You'll notice i changed to .png format for better image quality, i would usualy use .jpg but I haven't got photoshop on my laptop yet (that i'm using to create the app) so its shitty paint.

UniBudget - The App

So i've started work on my UniBudget app and its coming along nicely, shouldn't take me long to get it looking right, the long stretch is going to be in the validation and verification.

Here is a screenshot of one of the windows I have so far (in design mode):

Sneak Peak

Thought i'd take the time to give you all a sneak peak at how the spreadsheet is currently looking, this has been taken from the Office 1997 - 2003 version which has slightly less features.

Would also like to say quickly that i'm downloading Visual Basic as I type, so should be able to get cracking on coding a little bit tonight!

Welcome to UniBudget!

Hi! Welcome to UniBudget; the purpose of this blog is as a home base for my range of budgeting programs and spreadsheets; over the next few weeks I will be updating this website with new releases of my applications.

Currently I have two Excel workbooks available, one compatible with Office 1997 - 2003 and the other designed for 2008.

I am putting the finishing touches to these workbooks, I don't want to overwork them as I intend to start working on a Visual Basic based program, just like a spreadsheet but with enhanced functionality and without the need to have Excel or a compatible variant installed.
